Silver and Vanilla is a collaborative work by Yaron Michael Hakim and Isabel Theselius. Its core and driving force is a video that explores the physical and metaphysical landscapes of Los Angeles and nature through nostalgia and tropes found in Hollywood films. The work was exhibited in February at the east L.A artist-run space, Elephant. There, the artists transformed the gallery’s interior, exterior, and parking lot to create set-like environments that showcased sculptural relics from the video.
